Submissions for the 2026 San Diego Music Awards are now open. All submissions for the 2026 San Diego Music Awards must be released between January 1 and December 31, 2025, to be considered. Artist must be a San Diego resident to qualify.
Submitted videos should NOT be live show videos.
Please do NOT submit an entire album individually as individual songs or singles!
NOTE: Only MP3 audio files will be accepted, 10mb or less file size. No more than 50mb total for ALL files in one submission. Photos should be JPG only, no other file types will be accepted.
Nominees are always chosen in January by the San Diego Music Academy (members are noted on this website) and will be announced on February 23. Nominees are chosen based on the previous year (January thru December), including performers and recordings. Nominees must have ¾ of their members living in San Diego at the time of nominations. Former San Diegans are not eligible for annual SDMA consideration.
